London Pleasure

This appears in Tintinnalogia (1668) and Campanalogia (1677). It consists of just single changes, that is a single pair of bells swapping each time. It is described in Tintinnalogia as "a confused peal to ring", having a lot of places and no overall pattern. The versions of the method given in Tintinnalogia and Campanalogia are just rotations of each other. In each one, the treble is the hunt bell, but its path only repeats every 40 changes. In the Tintinnalogia version, it always does four blows behind, while in Campanalogia, the four blows come in the lead. The half-hunt bell (shown in black) also has a 40-change course. The other bells do up to 12 consecutive blows in one place!
